Martin K. Dubois, PhD

 

Martin Dubois founded Improved Hydrocarbon Recovery, LLC in 2007. He has over 35 years mid-continent industry and research experience, first as an exploration geologist for Cities Service in Tulsa and Oklahoma City (3 years), as a consultant in Winfield, KS (12 years), exploration manager for John O. Farmer, Inc., Russell, KS (8 years), then as a research geologist at the Kansas Geological Survey (9 years). More recently, 2008-2010, he was also VP for Geology and EOR, CAP CO2, LLC and Co-PI and manager for geology and engineering in a DOE-funded CO2 EOR feasibility study in Kansas. While at the Survey, Dubois provided reservoir characterization and modeling for applied research projects including the DOE-funded CO2 EOR and CCS project in Russell and the industry-consortium-based Hugoton Asset Management Project as PI and project manager.

 

Martin has a BS in Geophysics from Kansas State University and an MS and PhD in Geology from the University of Kansas. He is a Licensed Geologist in the State of Kansas and Certified Petroleum Geologist through the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, and is a member of the AAPG, the Kansas Geological Society, and Society of Petroleum Engineers. Dubois is the author of ten papers, twenty open-file reports, and scores of abstracts, and is a recipient of two national awards for best poster presentations at annual professional meetings (AAPG, 2001; AAPG-DEG, 2002).
